Promotion Procedure

List for promotion A, B-2, C-2 are prepared and maintained in the office of SP reserves while the list of promotion D-2, E-2 are prepared and maintained in the office of DIGP R/R and list of promotion F-2 is prepared in CPO Muzaffarabad.

Selection grade constables, Head Constables are promoted by SP Reserves and ASI,SI’s are promoted by DIGP R/R, while Inspectors are promoted by Inspector General Police AJK.

The promotion process is completed after the departmental relevant courses.

Promotion to the rank of DSPs is made through selection board constituted by Home Department.
